The fixture holes in the installation channels (5) for which the drilling jig is used to drill are for the location of electrical cables, telephone lines, etc. The jig comprises beams with a pref. rectangular cross-sectional profile whose one side, the wall side, is screwed tightly against a wall or corresp. base and whose opposite side, is screwed tightly against a wall or corresp. base and whose opposite side, the front side, is provided with one or more openings extending along the complete channel, for input of cables and positioning of take-off units, etc. The drilling jig (1) for drilling holes in the wall side is placed in a front side opening and has a centrally positioned through hole for controlling a drill (10) towards the channel wall side. The drill jig is so matched to the front side opening that it supports against the opening edges and does not sink into the opening under pressure loading. It consists of a rectangular plate (6) with two front side openings of different width. The length of the plate long sides corresponds to the distance between the wider opening edges and the length of the plate short sides corresponds to the distance between the narrower opening edges. |
