摘要 <p>PURPOSE: To efficiently send image data with a simple configuration by providing an image data processing means that uses a motion vector detected based on the result of motion detection of the image pickup device main body so as to process image data between consecutive image pickup results thereby reducing a data amount of the image data and outputting the resulting data. CONSTITUTION: The detected result of a motion detection circuit 7 is given to a motion vector generating circuit 13, in which the result is converted into a change amount in the unit of a frame, and converted into a change amount in the unit of images formed on an image pickup face of a CCD solid-state image pickup element 5, and then a motion vector V of each block corresponding to the coding processing of the image is detected. The image pickup result obtained by the CCD solid-state image pickup element 5 is converted into image data DV1 and motion of the data is compensated based on the motion vector V in an image processing circuit 6, data are compressed along a time base accordingly and converted into differential data DV2. The differential data DV2 are given to a re-image processing section 14, from which the resulting data are sent to a transmission object together with data such as motion vector.</p>
