PURPOSE: To obtain the facsimile equipment without consuming useless power whose function is unchanged from a conventional facsimile equipment. CONSTITUTION: At first a main power supply 16 is turned on and the main power supply 16 starts charging a secondary battery simultaneously. If the charging is finished, a main power supply control circuit 15 stops the operation of the main power supply 16 and the power supply by the secondary battery and the solar battery only is started. In this case, excess power among the power supplied by the solar battery charges the secondary battery. Then the mode is set to an ultralow power consumption standby state. Since the secondary battery is charged by excess power among the power supplied by the solar battery, the power is utilized without waste and the ultralow power consumption standby state where no main power supply 16 is in operation is kept long. |
