<p>PURPOSE: To enable an operator to know a coordinate position without averting his line of sight from a cursor by displaying a numeral indicating a cursor coordinate near the cursor. CONSTITUTION: A detection part 2 detects a signal (pulse) from a coordinate indicating device (mouse) 1 and a value conversion part 3, counts the pulse and converts the pulse into a value expressing a coordinate position. The converted signal is inputted to a holding part 4 based upon a signal outputted from a timer 6 at a required time interval and inputted to a display signal generating part 8 through a selector 5 normally switched to the holding part side to generate a value (coordinate value) expressing the coordinate position. An area discriminating part 7 discriminates the existing area of the coordinate position on the screen based upon a signal outputted from the detection part 2 or the conversion part 3 and a display signal generating part 8 generates the direction of a cursor and the position of the coordinate value against the cursor correspondingly to the area and displays the generated contents on a display part 9.</p> |
