<p>PURPOSE: To make a travel stable by varying the rotary torque of a reel gear, an idler gear, and a coupling part and then drawing a tape with a constant force irrelevantly to the take-up amount of the tape on a reel table. CONSTITUTION: When a VCR is in playback mode or fast-forward mode while a tape is wound around the payoff reel table at a maximum (S-MAX), the relative rotating speed of the payoff reel table to the take-up reel table is slow and the torque generated between a gear 44 and a pulley 42 is small, but while the tape is wound around the take-up reel table almost at a maximum (T-MAX), the relative rotating speed of the payoff reel table to the take-up reel table is fast and the torque generated between the gear 44 and pulley 42 becomes large. Consequently, the tape drawing force is held constant irrelevantly to the take-up amount of the tape. The reel tables, therefore, rotate smoothly in all the operation modes of the VCR.</p> |
