PURPOSE: To provide an inexpensive battery in which the short-circuit or leakage of the battery is eliminated, and the internal resistance is stabilized by using an expand current collector as positive current collector, flattening the peripheral part, and pressing it onto the inner wall of a positive electrode case. CONSTITUTION: A positive electrode 6 using an expand current collector and having substantially a truncated conical form in which the peripheral part is inclined down 40 deg.-60 deg. to the inner surface part is encased in a positive electrode case 4, the peripheral part of the current collector is flattened, and the current collector is pushed onto the inner wall of the positive electrode case 4 to constitute a button type air-zinc battery. Thus, a needle-like metal piece generated when the positive electrode current collector is circularly punched is eliminated to prevent the short-circuit by the falling of the metal piece. Further, the contact between the positive electrode case and the positive electrode current collector is made good in the sealing process of the battery to reduce the internal resistance, and the leakage can be also prevented. |
