PURPOSE: To enhance the mounting strength of a connector to a base. CONSTITUTION: A connector C is mounted on the frame (base) B of a television image receiving machine by use of its legs 14. In the mounting part of the frame B, the inner part of a leg insert hole 15 is swollen, the legs 14 are bent and pressed to this swollen part 16 and caulked, and the swollen part 16 is nipped between the mounting end of an external terminal 11 and the leg 15 by this caulking, whereby the connector C is mounted on the frame B. When the legs 14 are bent inside and caulked in this way, the connector C is hardly dropped out, since many legs 14 resist an external force even when it acts on the connector C. By the presence of the swollen part 16, the caulking of the legs 14 is completed before a punch makes contact with the frame B by the presence of the swollen part 16 when the legs 14 are caulked by the punch, and the caulking can be surely performed.
