PURPOSE: To make it possible to effectively cool the heating part in a machine even by a totally-enclosed type and to reduce in size and weight. CONSTITUTION: The wheel-integral type rotary electric machine of an outer rotor type rotatably supports wheels to both ends of an axle 1 fixedly supported to a truck via bearings, mounts a stator core 4 at the center of the axle 1, arranges a rotor frame 10 on the outer periphery of the core 4 via a predetermined air gap and integrally couples both the ends of the frame 10 with the wheels 6a by brackets. On the other hand, a plurality of radiation fins 14 are provided on the outer periphery of the one bracket 12, and a fan function for circulating the air in the machine is incorporated in the plurality of heat absorbing fins 13 to be provided on the inner periphery.
