PURPOSE: To speed up the processing of calculation by reducing the number of steps used in the processing about the similarity between the input pattern and the reference pattern stored as dictionary so as to be used in pattern recognition. CONSTITUTION: The entire steps of calculation are as follows: Design of a quantized code book, (S1); preparation of single output table, (S3); preparation of mixed output pattern, (S4); calculation of the single output data from the input pattern, (S7); calculation of mixed output data, (S9); and calculation of adaptivity between the input pattern and the reference pattern based on the single output data and the mixed output data, (S10). |
