PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient video image with high quality in a video conference by emitting an auxiliary light to participants of the video conference via a reflecting surface consisting of plural curved surfaces and/or smooth surfaces so as to eliminate the effect of shadows to a degree not making the participants uncomfortable. SOLUTION: A communication network has two video conference terminals 100a, 100n, which are a personal computer or a video telephone set. Each of the terminals 100a, 100n has an auxiliary optical equipment 101 and the terminals 100a, 100n connect to a communication network 102. The network 102 sends/receives a communication signal between the terminals 100a, 100n. In the communication network 102, the communication between participants 103a and 103n is attained, and the terminals 100a, 100n send, receive and process a visual data signal and an audio data signal. The auxiliary optical equipment 101 has a housing 201 consisting of plural curved surfaces and/or flat surfaces and an electromagnetic wave generator 202 for a light source, reflects an auxiliary light to eliminate the effect of shadows to a degree not making the participants 103a, 103n uncomfortable. |
