PURPOSE: To make it possible to display the operating state and operation failure state of an optical switch with simple constitution by forming a signals indicating a stop state corresponding to the plural stop positions of an optical transmission path changeover moving element. CONSTITUTION: A bypass state is attained when the optical transmission path changeover moving element 4 exists at a dotted line A. The transmitted light from input terminals 2a, 2b attains the operate state when the element 4 rotates at 45 deg. and exists at dotted line B. The signal for indicating the operating state is outputted when a power source for driving the element 4 is impressed on a driving power source line 6. The signal of the working state is outputted when the element 4 is correctly held at a bypass state. This signal is outputted when the element 4 is held correctly at the operating state. The signal indicating the operation defective state is outputted as the operation defect when the element 4 fails to make the prescribed operation. The present operating state of the optical switch 1 is displayed in a display section. |
