PURPOSE: To provide a printer capable of smoothly printing and increasing printing efficiency, at the time of executing mass printing, etc. CONSTITUTION: When printing data is received in the printer for printing paper sheets, based on the printing data from the outside, the number of prints and their paper sizes are previously acquired (step S101). Then, the number of fed papers in this size is detected and the maximum number of the fed papers in the size is detected as well (steps S102 and S103). The number of the obtained prints is compared with the number of the fed papers and the number of the prints is compared with the maximum number of the fed papers, to calculate the number of the feeding times of the paper up to the completion of printing, based on these comparison results (steps S104-S111). |
