PURPOSE: To provide a multi-point control unit for a video conference which is economical in terms of housing space, power consumption and price. CONSTITUTION: More than three video conference terminals including one operator station T1 for controlling a conference and plural conference participating stations T2-Tn are connected, a synchronizing circuit R22 for receiving multi- media signals from the respective stations and synchronizing them with operating clocks within the unit is provided and the multimedia signals are worked and distributed. In thus multi-point control unit, a switch 10 for selecting one participating station from the plural participating stations T2 Tn and a control circuit 50 for generating selection signals E1 for selecting a specified participating station based on a speaking permission command from the operator station T1 are provided, one participating station is specified by leading the generated selection signals E1 to the switch 10 and the specified participating station and the synchronizing circuit 22 are connected. |
