PURPOSE: To provide a method of manufacturing a plate for a high capacity battery having high utilization factor of carried active material to prevent generating a short-circuiting accident, based on separating the active material. CONSTITUTION: In the case of manufacturing a plate for a battery of carrying an active material in a metal porous material having a three-dimensional net- shaped structure, after a metal porous material is charged with active material paste, drying treatment is performed till obtaining 3 to 15wt.% water content of the active material paste, to prepare a plate precursor 4. This plate precursor 4 is fixed to endless belts 2, 2' having magnetic adsorbing function, while conveyed, with rotary brushes 3, 3' brought into press-contact with surface 4a, 4b of the belt, to perform brushing treatment. |
