PURPOSE: To speed up the response of the system, make specifying operation secure and easy, and accurately decide a desired shape only by the input of one point by providing a specific collation processing stage for obtaining data constituting a rectangle including a specified point. CONSTITUTION: At a point specification processing stage, a point (α, β) is specified on a plane coordinate system. At a horizontal table reference processing stage, a horizontal table of rectangular figures in a storage means 6 is referred to and horizontal reference data are read out of the horizontal table 8. At a horizontal candidate point extraction processing stage, the candidate point αmax which is smaller than the component αat the point and the largest among the horizontal reference data and the candidate point α min which is larger than the component α at the point and the smallest are extracted. As for vertical data, similar processing is performed by referring to a vertical table. The relevance of data on respective extracted candidate points is checked at a collation processing stage to obtain data constituting the rectangle including the specified point. |
