<p>PURPOSE: To display a transmission destination menu by which a telephone number registered on a telephone number directory is retrieved and dialed efficiently, the registration of the telephone number is simplified and the telephone numbers are managed easily. CONSTITUTION: A transmission destination menu of a telephone number directory 108 in which one transmission destination or over is registered for the transmission of information such as an image, an audio signal and data via a transmission line is registered in a hierarchical way. The transmission destination menu of one layer or over to be divided is sequentially displayed in the order of higher layer, a transmission destination telephone number belonging to a desired layer is selected and dialed, and the telephone number directory 108 is stored in at least one transmission destination menu display device connecting to an information transmission system, and another transmission destination menu display device reads a telephone number directory from the transmission destination menu display device having the telephone number directory via a transmission line 109 by the operation of a system controller 104 and displays it onto its own display device.</p> |
