PURPOSE: To prevent burning phenomenon of a CRT as much as possible without giving sense of incongruity to viewer by moving picture position based on external operation such as operation of switching an input picture signal, operation of turning on a power source switch, and the like. CONSTITUTION: Control of display position of a picture signal on a CRT screen by a video control section 12 and a deflection control section 14 is performed when a picture signal supplied to an input terminal 11 is switched. In this case, a range in which a display position of a picture can be shifted on a CRT screen is total of 35 steps in total of 7 pixels in the horizontal direction and 5 pixels in the vertical direction. Therefore, since the same pixel can be used in the rate of only one time for every 35 times switching a pixel signal, burning phenomenon of a CRT can be prevented as much as possible. Since a picture newly displayed is displayed at a position shifted to a different display position from the previous picture from the beginning, incongruity given to a viewer can be eliminated. |
