PURPOSE: To smooth the resuming of communication within a limited time between plural slave sets registered to the same master set by using a timer and a control means. CONSTITUTION: At the time of detecting a call to the present station during intermittent reception in a transceiver mode, a timer 231 is reset and call- incoming operation is executed. During the speech, CPU 23 judges the speaking time by a timer 230. When three minutes passes during the speech, the timer 231 is reset and after the stand-by time of two seconds is passed, the timer 230 is reset again to execute intermittent reception at intervals shorter than normal intermittent reception intervals.
