<p>PURPOSE: To display HTML data onto a television receiver by providing thinning means thinning prescribed data in response to the resolution of a display means detected by a detection means. CONSTITUTION: When a monitor 9 is a television receiver or the like displaying a video image by a television broadcast in a compliance with, e.g. the NTSC system or the PAL system, that is, does not have sufficient resolution to display image data and text data included in HTML data, a detection circuit 6 allows switches SW1 or SW3 to select a terminal b1 to b2 respectively. Thus, image data and text data are fed to a thinning circuit 4. The thinning circuit 4 coverts the image data and text data into data displayed on the monitor 9 based on monitor attribute information. That is, the thinning circuit 4 thinning image data to reduce an image comprising image data.</p> |
