PURPOSE: To provide a miniaturizable magnet roll in which developing efficiency is improved and defective developing at both ends is eliminated. CONSTITUTION: As to this magnet roll provided with a supporting shaft on a shaft center part, and provided with a recessed groove 5 extending in the shaft direction in the specified magnetic pole part of a permanent member 1 extending in the shaft direction and formed on the external peripheral surface so as to make plural magnetic poles appear in the circumferential direction, and constituted of a developing pole by sticking a magnet piece 4 which is formed inside the groove 5 so as to make magnetic flux density distribution having plural peaks having the same polarity appear, the recessed part 6 whose cross-sectional surface is formed into an U-shape is provided on the central part in the circumferential direction of the external circumference of the piece 4 along the longitudinal direction of the piece 4, and also a plate-state chip 7 constituted of a magnetic material and having an inclined surface on one part of the external circumference is stuck to face oppositely to the inside surface on both ends part of the part 6. |
