The roller bearing (16) comprises internal (20) and external (22) rings each having a bearing race (24A,24B,26A,26B) in which run radial rollers (18A,18B). A cage (34), interposed radially between the rings, has angularly divided housings each taking a rotating roller. One of the bearing tracks comprises radial recesses (28A,28B) which take the rollers in a retracted position in which they do not engage in the other roller track. Indentations control cage rotation relative to the internal ring to displace the rollers between their retracted position and their active position. In the active position each roller engages in the two opposite tracks.
