The method involves forcing a gas down into a first fluid bath (10) for cleaning and emission of heat and then forcing the partly cooled gas into a second bath (13) for cleaning and emission of heat. At least a part of the heat transmitted to one of the fluid baths through heat exchange is transferred to another medium. The gas through fine distribution in at least one of the baths is provided with a large contact surface against the bath in order to produce an effective heat transmission and cleaning. The gas for fine distribution in one bath is made to pass under turbulence through a part of the fluid bath so that a finely distributed gas-fluid mixture is produced in the bath. The turbulence is produced through the gas being forced downwards in a predetermined smaller volume of the bath, so that the volume presents limitations laterally but remains in communication with the bath above and below these limitations. |
