PURPOSE: To reduce a job such as sorting plural print results collected in a collection section by recording an image to be recorded on one side of recording paper, recording an image denoting identification information to the other side and discharging the paper while the side with an image denoting the identification information recorded thereon is set upward to the collection section. CONSTITUTION: This recorder is provided with a recording means 96 discharged to a collection section 58. When a command to record an image to be recorded onto only one side of recording paper is made, the recording means 96 records an image on one side of the recording paper and records an image denoting identification information to identify the image onto the other side. Then the recording means 96 is controlled so that the side recording the image denoting the identification information is discharged to the collection section 58 upward. Thus, even when the print result is discharged to the collection section 58 while the image recording side is directed backward, a job such as sorting plural print results stacked in the collection section 58 is reduced. |
