PURPOSE: To enhance insulation of a piezoelectric oscillator under high humidity without sacrifice dimensional accuracy by insulation coating the surface having longest side, among the opposite outer electrode surfaces of a piezoelectric ceramic plate and a surface held between, with a tubular molding of thermally shrinking material. CONSTITUTION: Piezoelectric ceramics 11 provided, on the opposite sides thereof, with surface electrodes 12 are bonded through adhesive layers 15 to the opposite surfaces of an intermediate electrode plate 13 to produce a bimorph piezoelectric oscillator which is then insulation coated with a tubular molding of thermally shrinking material (so-called thermally shrunk tube 14). The intermediate electrode plate 13 and the surface electrode 12 on an adjacent piezoelectric ceramic plate are conducted through the adhesive layer 15. But they are insulated by an insulating layer 17 on the side opposite to the projecting side of intermediate electrode plate. The intermediate electrode plate and an adjacent surface electrode are also conducted similarly. |
