AREA SENSOR FOR RECOGNIZING FIELD AND OPTICAL EQUIPMENT

PURPOSE: To obtain desired field information between two kinds of information while preventing a noise from being made. CONSTITUTION: Area sensors 5 and 6 are constituted so that a picture element pitch is made different between central parts 9 and 10 and peripheral parts 7 and 8 (since it is not so significant that the picture element pitch is made fine in the peripheral part because there is a limit to the performance of the optical system, the picture element pitch is made rough in the peripheral part and dense in the central part), and the respective picture elements are electronically switched by a readout means to obtain two kinds of field information (detail information and rough information) from the area sensor.
