PURPOSE: To execute more appropriate focusing in accordance with photographing conditions by inhibiting the focusing process by a passive system or selecting the result of the focusing by an active system in the case of depressing a focusing lock switch. CONSTITUTION: In the case where the focusing lock switch is turned on, only the result of the focusing by an active focusing part A is given to a focusing value selection circuit 40 and outputted as range-finding data. In the case where the focusing lock switch is not depressed, the focusing by the passive system is executed in a passive focusing part P, the results of the focusing by the focusing parts A and P are given to the selection circuit 40 through focusing arithmetic circuits 13 and 23. The selection circuit 40 outputs the focusing value of the passive focusing part P as the selected focusing data. Namely, in the case the focusing lock switch is depressed, the value of the active focusing part A whose object area is narrow and within a specified range is obtained and any of the values of both focusing parts A and P is selected in the case the switch is not depressed. |
