FIELD: road construction. SUBSTANCE: claimed invention describes bitumen emulsion of anionic or cationic type has stratifying additive. Such stratifying additive is added to emulsion inn the form of suspension of stratifying solid phase in oil. Emulsion is obtained by preparing suspension of stratifying solid phase in oil and subsequently mixing said suspension with bitumen emulsion of anionic or cationic type. Bitumen emulsion is useful in road construction, treatment of old road asphalt coatings and in construction. EFFECT: improved properties of the bitumen emulsion.
