PURPOSE: To prevent releasing agent adhering to a transferring rotating body from transferring on an image carrier by setting the developing means of an image forming station which is not used to form an image to a developing state in the case of forming the image by a part of the image forming station. CONSTITUTION: In the case of forming the image by a part of the image forming station, the developing station of the image forming station which is not used to form the image is set to the developing state. Namely, a transfer belt 200 is made to contact to/separate from the image carrier by rotating transfer blades 6M, 6C, 6Y and 6K. While the transfer blades 6M, 6C, 6Y and 6K are made to press-contact with the image carrier, a primary electrifier being an electrifying means is turned on in timing that the image carrier is electrified by the electrifying means and it is developed by the developing means in a press-contact part, and developing bias is impressed on the developing device 4M, 4C, 4Y and 4K. Therefore, a fogging tray film is formed on each photoreceptor drum 1M, 1C, 1Y or 1K, whereby oil on the transfer belt 200 is prevented from transferring. |
