PURPOSE: To enable departments or hospitals to mutually use medical information and eliminate the need for the burden on people and the time for the transmission of the information by reading information on a patient out of a portable storage medium and writing the medical information. CONSTITUTION: The patient submits his or her IC card 7 at the counters of departments 2-4. The IC card 7 is loaded on a terminal device to read the patient information and request information out. At the respective departments 2-4, examination results and treatment results are written as request result information on the IC card 7, which is handed over to the patient. After the patient makes a round of all the departments 2-4 to have all examinations and treatments, the patient returns to a consultation department and submits the IC card 7. At this time, the IC card 7 is loaded on a hospital information system(HIS) terminal device to read the examination results or treatment results (request result information) and store them in the HIS. Further, clinical consultation result information and dosage information are written on the IC card 7 at the consultation department. At the accounting section, accounts information is read out of the IC card 7 to perform account settling operation, and the IC card 7 is returned to the patient. |
