SPOT DATA RETRIEVAL SYSTEM UTILIZING TELEPHONE NUMBER GUIDANCE

PURPOSE: To automatically read spot data from a telephone number provided from a telephone number guide center concerning a spot data retrieval system utilizing telephone number guidance suitable for combination with an on-vehicle navigation system. CONSTITUTION: A telephone set 18 for receiving the voice information of the telephone number supplied from a telephone number guide center 20 is connected to a central processing unit(CPU) 10. A storage device 16 stores data for making the spot data of various facilities or shops correspondent to the telephone numbers. A voice recognizing function for converting the voice information of the telephone number to a telephone number signal and a function for reading the spot data corresponding to the telephone number signal from the stored contents of the storage device 16 are applied to the CPU 10.
