<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output an incoming ATM cell selectively to a proper output port in a PBS(portable base station) by executing routing of the ATM cell as a destination VPI(virtual path identifier) without translation of the VPI in the transfer mode. SOLUTION: An ATM LAN 20 is configured by plural PBS 22 constituting nodes and a wireless network tying the PBSes. Each PBS 22 has plural high speed interfaces, which are operated at a transmission speed in the unit of giga bits/sec (Gb/s), for example, and connected to the other PBS in the network. The high speed interface is connected to an ATM exchange network, and the ATM exchange network conducts routing the incoming ATM cell selectively to a proper output port in the PBS without translation of a VPI in the transfer node.</p> |
