PURPOSE: To provide an information providing system capable of automatically gathering information relating to viewers, eliminating inappropriate information matched with the viewers and changing an information display order. CONSTITUTION: This system is provided with an individual information obtaining means 103 for obtaining the individual information of the viewers based on signals originated from the viewers, a display condition control means 106 for controlling the display conditions of the information to be provided based on the obtained individual information, an output means 109 for taking out the information from the stored information 110 corresponding to the display conditions and a display means 111 for displaying the information outputted from the output means. In the system, when the individual information relating to the age, sex and the presence/absence of disorders, etc., of the viewer is originated from an origination device such as an IC card or the like owned by the viewer, the individual information is summed up, and based on the result, the information inappropriate for the viewer is excluded from the object of display and the display order of the information is replaced with the descending order of the interest of the viewer. |
