PURPOSE: To make it possible to miniaturize and lighten the weight of a urea sensor without using any electrolyte by providing an organic sensing film so as to cover the electrode of a sensor element. CONSTITUTION: First and second comb-shaped electrodes are provided on a glass substrate constituting a sensor element 10, and a phthalocyanin film 12 is arranged so that the comb tooth part may be covered. Therefor when a urease stabilization film 16 senses urea, urea reacts on urease to produce ammonia gas. Since a gas transmission film 14 transmits only ammonia gas, the ammonia gas passing through the gas transmission film 14 is diffused on the phthalocyanin film 12. At this time, since an electrical resistance value of the phthalocyanin film 12 is changed, the change of the electric resistance before it senses urea and after having sensed it can be measured by applying voltage between leads 20 connected to the first and second comb-shaped electrodes. |
