<p>The appts. consists of a gas diffuser (1), e.g. of fretted stainless steel, ceramic or other porous material, which is immersed in the liquid and performs a rapid movement relative to it, produced by rotation, vibration, oscillation or other cyclic or non-cyclic periodic or permanent movement. The diffuser can be flat in shape, or cylindrical, conical, cylindro-conical, spherical or in a non-geometrical shape. It can be rigid or supple, or be made from a number of elements of different materials to perform different functions, and having pores, holes or slits. The gas is fed through the diffuser under pressure provided by an external or integral pressure source.</p> |
