<p>FIELD: metal working. SUBSTANCE: method is intended for hardening cylindrical surfaces with fillets, for example, axle knuckles of trucks. Method includes installing inductor in spaced relation to cylindrical surface and fillet to be hardened, induction heating, and subsequent cooling. When installing inductor, the latter is brought in contact with fillet to form zero end process clearance, which is fixed and then inductor is moved away from fixed position to the distance corresponding to end process clearance between fillet and inductor. Arrangement includes object-location mechanism, mechanism providing end process clearance between inductor and fillet of object under treatment which, in turn, contains basement installed on guides. In the basement, guides with spring-loaded carriage are disposed with hardening unit fastened on the carriage. EFFECT: facilitated hardening procedure. 6 dwg</p> |
