A method of detecting a nucleic acid which comprises bringing a solid carrier suspected to carry or contain a nucleic acid into contact with a polyamine containing, bound thereto, a label capable of generating a detectable signal or a precursor thereof to thereby form a complex between a nucleic acid, if any, and the polyamine, removing the polyamine which has not formed any complex before or after the conversion of the precursor, if used, into the label, and detecting the label. <IMAGE> |
