The electrically controlled machine, especially for grinding metal-working tools, has two tool mounting areas on a rotating platform, each of which can be brought into operation without disturbing the settings. Tool changes and measurement may also be made whilst work is in progress. The two work stations contain tools in loading areas on a rotating table on which is also a measuring unit. The grinding unit is moveable vertically and horizontally and rotatable about a vertical axis. The process is carried out by numerical control.
