A process of manufacturing a laminated product, comprises the steps of: providing a carrier film; coating the film with a lacquer; applying a metal layer to the lacquer on the carrier film; applying a protective coating material to the metal layer; curing the protective coating material by means of UV-light (or EB radiation); applying a water based adhesive to the protective coating layer; applying a water permeable substrate to the adhesive layer; and removing the carrier film.
