1,169,472. Transistor oscillator circuits; frequency control. RADIO CORPORATION OF AMERICA. 26 June, 1968 [26 June, 1967], No. 30556/68. Headings H3A, H3R and H3T. In an oscillator the frequency is controlled by a control voltage applied to one gate of an insulated double-gate F.E.T. The F.E.T. has gate 14 connected to drain 18 via the tuned circuit including variables, inductor 38 and capacitor 46. The other gate 16 is biased by a frequency control voltage which could be from an automatic frequency control. Careful selection of this bias variation enables the frequency, but not the amplitude, of the oscillation to be changed. |
