The invention pertains to a U-shaped clip-on slide nut (10) with two parallel sliding limbs (11, 12) provided with notch elements and capable of being clipped onto an undercut ridge (19). One sliding limb (11) is provided with a bore (13) and the other limb (12) is provided with a threaded bore (14) aligned with the bore (13) and accommodating a clamping screw (20). The invention facilitates fixing of a component (30) on the ridge (19) in that the bore is a blind bore, the clamping screw is a countersunk screw (20), and at least one sliding limb (11, 12) is provided in addition with a screw recipient (15) for a securing screw (31).
