The figures given show a computer (1) fitted to the handlebars and this receives data from the sensor (2) about the drift frequency and from the sensor (3) and about the wheel RPM, and a nominal value from the rider for the pedal or pedalling frequency (4), by storing instantaneous frequencies suitable for the rider entered by the key (5) or the key (4). When load conditions change (wind, inclines, surface) the rider wishes or is compelled to consider a gear change, the computer, taking into account these conditions, will calculate how the gear lever (8) should be moved and indicates them on the display in steps.
