PURPOSE: To enable a suction transfer device securedly chuck a work and to be lessened in size as a whole by a method wherein the work is chucked with the tip of a suction nozzle when the vacuum-chuck transfer device is actuated in a first direction, and the work is released from the suction nozzle when the device is actuated in a second direction. CONSTITUTION: When a button is kept at an ascending position, a suction valve 20 is opened, and a suction head sucks in air through the tip of a suction nozzle 45. When the suction head is moved to a following station as it sucks in air and stops, a work 10 is attracted to the tip of the suction nozzle 45 which descends together with a nozzle holder 40. When the suction head is moved to a corresponding station and stopped, the pistons of two air cylinders are made to push down buttons 22 and 32 respectively. When the button 22 is pushed down, the suction valve 20 is closed, an exhaust valve 30 is opened, the suction head is kept in such a state that air is exhausted through the tip of the suction nozzle 45. In result, the work 10 attracted to the suction nozzle 45 is made to drop into a housing case. |
