PURPOSE: To realize sure calling even when the pager is set to the silent mode and located apart from a body of a carrier. CONSTITUTION: An identification code to be forcibly switched from the silent mode to the sound mode is stored in a storage section 7 of the pager 4 and a caller sends a call signal S including the identification code. The pager 4 receives the call signal S by a reception section 5 and a comparator section 8 discriminates whether or not the identification code included in the call signal S is coincident with an identification code stored in the storage section 7. When they are coincident with each other, a forced switching signal is given to a control section 9, to allow a speaker 11 to sound a call tone even when the silent mode is set to the pager 4 and calling is reported to the carrier in sound. |
