Laminated identification document consisting of a laminate of two identical transparent covering sheets (2 and 3) completely overlying each other, each being composed of a number of thin sheets (4a, 4b; 6a, 6b) of thermosetting plastic laminated onto each other, with a thermoplastic bonding layer (5a, 5b; 7a, 7b) between every two adjacent sheets. A card or sheet with identification data is put between two of such covering sheets and the whole is laminated, whereby one obtains an identification document which can only be forged with the greatest possible difficulty, since it is very hard to open owing to the several bonding layers. Moreover, such a laminate composed of thin layers is suitable for further safety arrangements, such as colour layers, UV-marks, embossment printing, and the like. <IMAGE> |
