Screw and threaded bush unit - is used for adjusting and jamming frames for windows and doors in wall openings in buildings

The unit (2) is attached to a frame which is to be fitted in the opening in a wall of eg. a building. The unit consists of a narrow strip (5) to which a bush (3), with internal thread, is attached. The strip is attached to the frame. Fixing strips (6) are mounted with clearance holes over the bushes. Bolts (4) are screwed into the bush after which the frame is placed in the wall opening. The bolts are unscrewed till the bolt heads engage with the sides of the opening in the wall. The bolts are screwed in or out to position the frame in the opening after which the bolts are further unscrewed to jam the frame in the opening. The frame is secured in position with bolts through holes in the strips.
