摘要 <p>An optical detector for detection of objects in defence applications and for ground-to-air or ground-to-ground missile targetting, uses a light beam transmitted from a laser diode (4). This can be directed to any point, using an acousto-optic deflector (5). The reflected light is picked up by a receiver (6) and the picture of the object from which it is reflected is built up using a spot-by-spot construction on a matrix framework. The system gives a high-resolution picture of objects detected, even under critical weather and ambient light conditions.</p>
