The cover (1) has an essentially flat covering body (2) and attachment elements connected to it to attach it to the rump of the animal under treatment so that the covering body at least partly covers the animal's back. The covering body carries essentially strip-shaped magnetic elements (10) for magnetic field therapy and/or an electrically operated massage arrangement (15). The flexible magnetic elements extend approximately over the entire width of the covering body. With the cover applied, the magnetic elements are essentially perpendicular to the animal's spine (11).
