<p>An inflatable apparatus (131) comprises a series of sections joined together. The sections have various separately inflatable chambers (38, 20, 22, 24, 44, 45, 46) to support the body (62). The apparatus can be part of a piece of furniture which includes a control device (132) allowing separate inflation or deflation of each chamber. A connector (130) can be provided to allow the control device to be disconnected without pressure loss. The apparatus can be connected to a compressor and pressure sensors can be used to provide pressure regulation.</p> |
