The holder (10) includes a sliding face part, which is supported by a spring. Two hook-shaped projecting parts protrude from the upper and lower edges of the holder. The holder also includes a detachable adaptor (42) for charging the portable telephone. The adaptor consists of a lower block (44), with monitoring lights (46) on the front, a switch (48) and a socket (50). The adaptor is held in place by the hooks, after being pressed in position.
