A REINFORCED TUBULAR BRACKET

A bracket, comprising an outer tubular element (5, 6b) flattened for securing the bracket to a support surface. An unflattened portion of the tubular element extends away from the supporting surface when the bracket is secured. An inner reinforcing member (6) is held in place to overlap at least at an interface between the flattened portion and an adjacent part of the unflattened portion. In preference a flat bar (6) is used as a reinforcing member and the flattened portion is offset to the side of the support, and the flat bar is deformed (6a) to register internally against the side of the unflattened portion.
